What Are Custom Umbrella Boxes?
Custom umbrella boxes are purpose-designed packaging solutions built to fit the specific dimensions, weight, and style of your umbrella product. Unlike standard off-the-shelf packaging, custom printed umbrella boxes are crafted from scratch, engineered to your exact measurements, printed with your brand artwork, and finished to match the quality of your product.
Whether you need a slim tuck-end box for a compact folding umbrella, a long rectangular sleeve for a full-length walking umbrella, or a rigid two-piece gift box for a luxury promotional model, we manufacture umbrella packaging solutions that align with your product and your audience.
Why Umbrella Packaging Matters
Packaging is one of the most overlooked levers in product marketing. Research consistently shows that consumers associate packaging quality with product quality, and for umbrellas, this relationship is especially powerful. A well-packaged umbrella communicates durability, craftsmanship, and brand confidence before the customer ever touches the product itself.
Types Of Custom Umbrella Boxes
We manufacture a full range of umbrella packaging styles to suit every product type and business requirement.
Folding Umbrella Boxes
Designed for compact and collapsible umbrella models, folding umbrella boxes are typically square or short-rectangular in format. They are popular in retail environments because they stack neatly on shelves and provide maximum visibility for print artwork. Available in tuck-end, sleeve, or two-piece lid and base configurations.
Packaging for Long Umbrellas
Full-length umbrellas, including golf umbrellas, walking umbrellas, and cane styles, require elongated packaging built to accommodate their length without risk of bending or creasing. we produce custom long umbrella packaging boxes in both lightweight cardboard and robust corrugated constructions, with internal supports available for premium models.
Rigid Umbrella Boxes
Rigid umbrella boxes are built from high-density chipboard and wrapped in premium specialty papers. They offer a luxury unboxing experience and are the preferred choice for high-end retail, gift umbrella packaging, and corporate gifting programs. Magnetic closure options, ribbon pulls, and branded tissue paper inserts can all be incorporated.
Corrugated Umbrella Shipping Boxes
For e-commerce brands and wholesale distributors, corrugated umbrella shipping boxes provide the structural strength needed to protect products through the rigors of last-mile delivery. Available in single-wall, double-wall, and triple-wall configurations, with exterior print options for branded delivery experiences.
Promotional Umbrella Packaging
Promotional umbrella packaging is designed for volume, trade shows, branded giveaways, event sponsorships, and corporate campaigns. These boxes balance visual impact with cost efficiency, making them ideal for large-quantity orders where budget control is important without sacrificing brand presentation.
Material Options
The material you choose for your umbrella packaging determines its durability, print quality, environmental footprint, and perceived premium value. We work with the following substrates:
- Kraft cardboard β A natural brown material that communicates eco-conscious branding. Excellent for artisan, outdoor, and sustainable umbrella brands. Biodegradable and fully recyclable.
- White SBS cardboard β The standard substrate for vivid full-color printing. Provides a smooth, bright surface that brings brand artwork to life with sharp detail and accurate color reproduction.
- Corrugated board β Available in E-flute, B-flute, and double-wall configurations. Chosen for its superior impact resistance and structural support during shipping and storage.
- Rigid chipboard β A premium heavyweight material used for luxury umbrella packaging. Wrapped in specialty papers, fabrics, or leatherette for a high-end aesthetic that commands shelf presence.
- Recycled and FSC-certified boards β Eco-friendly packaging boxes manufactured from post-consumer recycled materials and responsibly sourced fibers, printed with soy-based or water-based inks.
Customization Options
Our customization goes beyond printing your logo on a generic box. Every dimension, material, structural feature, and surface finish is configurable to your exact specifications.
Dimensions and Structure
All boxes are custom die-cut to fit your umbrella’s exact dimensions. Our structural engineers design the dieline from scratch, ensuring a snug fit that prevents movement inside the box during transit. Box styles include tuck-end, reverse tuck, sleeve, two-piece lid and base, magnetic closure, tube, and open-window configurations.
Printing and Artwork
We support CMYK full-color offset printing, digital printing for short runs, and flexographic printing for corrugated packaging. Pantone spot color matching is available to ensure brand-accurate reproduction across every order. Artwork can be submitted in AI, PDF, EPS, or PSD formats, and our design team provides free pre-press support.
Finishing Treatments
Surface finishing transforms a printed box into a premium branded experience. We offer:
- Gloss or matte lamination for protection and visual texture
- Soft-touch lamination for a velvety, tactile premium feel
- Foil stamping in gold, silver, rose gold, and holographic finishes
- Embossing and debossing for dimensional logo and pattern details
- Spot UV coating to highlight specific design elements with a glossy sheen
- Aqueous coating for a water-resistant, scuff-proof surface
Interior and Inserts
The inside of your umbrella packaging matters as much as the outside. We provide custom foam inserts, corrugated dividers, EVA trays, branded tissue paper, and ribbon pulls, all designed to keep your product secure and add to the unboxing experience.
Eco-Friendly Packaging Advantage
Sustainability is no longer a niche preference; it is a mainstream consumer expectation. We offer a full range of eco-friendly packaging boxes manufactured from FSC-certified recycled cardboard and kraft materials, using water-based or soy-based inks that are free from harmful VOCs.
Our eco-friendly umbrella packaging options are fully recyclable and biodegradable without sacrificing print quality or structural integrity. Choosing sustainable packaging for your umbrellas communicates brand responsibility to environmentally conscious consumers, and increasingly, it is a key factor in B2B procurement decisions as well.

Artwork Preparation Guide
At BoxesGen, our Artwork Preparation Guide helps ensure your custom packaging design is print-ready for high-quality results. To get started, submit vector files (AI, EPS, or PDF) in CMYK color mode, with a 1/8 inch bleed and 300 DPI resolution. Convert all text to outlines and keep it at least 1/4 inch from the edges. Review your proof to ensure accuracy before submitting. Following these steps will guarantee your design is perfectly printed on your custom boxes.
Cut Line (Black Lines):
The cut line is the outline that marks where your custom packaging will be trimmed. It is typically represented by a solid black line in your artwork file.
Perforation (Dotted Black Lines):
Perforation lines, shown as dotted black lines, indicate where the box will have small, evenly spaced holes for easy tearing or separation. These are often used for tear-away sections.
Bleed Line (Green Lines):
The bleed line is the area extending beyond the cut line, usually marked with a green line in your artwork. Typically, a 1/8 inch (0.125") bleed is required to prevent any unwanted white borders.
Safety Margin (Dotted Green Lines):
The safety margin, marked by dotted green lines, is the area around the cut line where important elements (such as text, logos, or graphics) should be kept clear.
Crease Line (Red Lines)
The crease line, marked by red lines in your artwork, indicates where the box will be folded during production.
Can I Reorder A Previous Design Without Starting The Process From Scratch?
Yes. We keep your approved dieline and print files on record, so reorders are straightforward. Simply contact your account manager with your order reference, confirm whether any changes are needed, and the job goes straight to production.
Do You Offer Split Shipments If I Need Boxes Delivered To Multiple Locations?
Yes. If your umbrella packaging needs to reach multiple warehouses, retail partners, or fulfillment centers, we can split a single production run into separate shipments and dispatch them to different addresses.
What Happens If My Boxes Arrive Damaged Or Do Not Match The Approved Proof?
We stand behind the quality of every order. If boxes arrive damaged in transit or fall outside the specifications you approved at the proof stage, we will investigate and resolve the issue at no additional cost to you. This may involve reprinting and reshipping the affected quantity. We ask that any quality concern be raised within seven days of delivery, supported by photographs of the affected units.
Are Custom Umbrella Boxes Suitable For Humid Or Wet Conditions?
Standard cardboard packaging is not designed for prolonged exposure to moisture. However, We can apply protective coatings such as aqueous coating or lamination that significantly improve a box's resistance to surface moisture and humidity.
Can You Produce Packaging For Umbrellas Sold As Part Of A Gift Set With Other Items?
Yes. If your umbrella is packaged together with other products, such as a scarf, gloves, or a branded pouch, BoxesGen can design and manufacture a gift set box with a custom internal layout that holds each item securely in its designated position.
