What Are Custom Bra Packaging Boxes?
Custom bra packaging boxes are purpose-built containers designed to hold, protect, and present bras during retail display, ecommerce shipping, and gifting. Unlike off-the-shelf generic boxes, custom bra boxes are:
- Sized precisely for bra cup dimensions β no crushing or deforming delicate fabrics
- Printed with your brand colors, logo, and messaging
- Made from materials that protect lace, mesh, silk, and foam cup bras
- Engineered for both shelf display and ship-safe ecommerce fulfillment
How Lingerie Brands Actually Use Our Packaging
This section is based on real orders we have fulfilled over the past decade.
Scenario 1: DTC Lingerie Brand Launching on Shopify
A women’s lingerie brand launching their first Shopify store needed packaging that looked premium but shipped safely without extra outer cartons. We designed a self-locking kraft mailer box with a one-color logo print. It reduced their per-unit shipping cost by eliminating the need for a poly mailer AND protected bra cups without additional foam inserts. Their unboxing video received 40,000+ organic views within the first month of launch.
Scenario 2: Wholesale Supplier Entering Department Store Retail
A mid-size lingerie supplier needed retail-ready folding carton boxes with a UPC barcode panel, front window cutout, and hang-tab for peg hooks β all standard requirements for department store buyers. We delivered 10,000 units in 12 business days, print-ready with their Pantone-matched colors. The buyer accepted the packaging on first review with no revision requests.
Scenario 3: Luxury Bridal Lingerie Brand
A bridal boutique needed magnetic closure rigid boxes with satin lining and gold foil stamped logos for their wedding lingerie sets. We produced 500 units with a 7-day rush turnaround. The brand now reorders quarterly and has since expanded their packaging line to include matching ribbon-tied pouches.
Types of Bra Packaging Boxes We Manufacture
1. Rigid Bra Gift Boxes
Sturdy, premium-feel boxes for luxury lingerie, bridal sets, and gifting. Magnetic closures, ribbon pulls, and satin lining options available. Similar in structure to our apparel packaging boxes used by clothing brands.
- Best for: Luxury brands, bridal lingerie, gifting collections
- Finish options: Matte lamination, soft-touch coating, foil stamping
2. Folding Carton Bra Boxes
The most popular choice for bra box packaging in retail. Lightweight, easy to display, and printable with full-color graphics. A window cutout option lets customers see the product β a proven retail conversion technique.
- Best for: Department stores, boutiques, retail chains
- Finish options: Gloss/matte lamination, embossing, spot UV, window cutout
3. Kraft Bra Mailer Boxes (Lingerie Shipping Boxes)
Self-locking, ship-safe, and eco-friendly. These bra shipping boxes eliminate the need for an additional outer mailer β saving money per order. Just like our hoodie packaging boxes, these are designed for zero-damage ecommerce fulfillment.
- Best for: Shopify brands, DTC ecommerce, subscription boxes
- Finish options: Natural kraft, printed kraft, custom sticker label
4. Bra Display Pouches & Soft Packaging
Custom underwear packaging pouches, satin bags, and printed poly mailers. Budget-friendly for high-volume lines.
- Best for: Everyday basics, promotional gifting, accessories
How to Choose the Right Bra Packaging for Your Brand

| Entering retail / boutiques | Folding Carton Box | Shelf-ready, window display, retail hang-tab option |
| Luxury / bridal lingerie | Rigid Gift Box | Premium feel, keepsake quality, foil finish options |
| High volume / budget line | Poly Pouch or Kraft Band | Low cost per unit, lightweight, brand sticker option |
| Subscription box service | Custom Insert Box | Branded insert holds multiple SKUs, unboxing experience |
Common Mistakes Brands Make With Bra Packaging
Mistake 1: Choosing box size without accounting for cup shape
A bra is not flat. Many brands order standard apparel boxes and discover the cups get crushed. Always specify your cup size range when ordering β we build die lines around your actual product dimensions.
Mistake 2: Printing logos in CMYK when Pantone is needed
If your brand color is a specific Pantone shade, printing in CMYK can produce a noticeably different color. For brand-critical colors, always request Pantone-matched printing.
Mistake 3: Ignoring packaging weight for ecommerce
Every gram adds to your shipping cost. A rigid gift box that weighs 200g per unit can add thousands of dollars annually to your fulfillment costs if you are shipping 10,000+ units a year. We help brands choose the lightest material that still meets their quality standard.
Mistake 4: Ordering too far in advance without testing
Order a sample run of 50β100 units before committing to 10,000. We offer low MOQ specifically so brands can test before they scale.

Artwork Preparation Guide
At BoxesGen, our Artwork Preparation Guide helps ensure your custom packaging design is print-ready for high-quality results. To get started, submit vector files (AI, EPS, or PDF) in CMYK color mode, with a 1/8 inch bleed and 300 DPI resolution. Convert all text to outlines and keep it at least 1/4 inch from the edges. Review your proof to ensure accuracy before submitting. Following these steps will guarantee your design is perfectly printed on your custom boxes.
Cut Line (Black Lines):
The cut line is the outline that marks where your custom packaging will be trimmed. It is typically represented by a solid black line in your artwork file.
Perforation (Dotted Black Lines):
Perforation lines, shown as dotted black lines, indicate where the box will have small, evenly spaced holes for easy tearing or separation. These are often used for tear-away sections.
Bleed Line (Green Lines):
The bleed line is the area extending beyond the cut line, usually marked with a green line in your artwork. Typically, a 1/8 inch (0.125") bleed is required to prevent any unwanted white borders.
Safety Margin (Dotted Green Lines):
The safety margin, marked by dotted green lines, is the area around the cut line where important elements (such as text, logos, or graphics) should be kept clear.
Crease Line (Red Lines)
The crease line, marked by red lines in your artwork, indicates where the box will be folded during production.
What is the minimum order quantity for custom bra packaging boxes?
Our MOQ starts at 50 units for most standard styles. For fully custom structural designs, MOQ is 100β200 units depending on complexity. We set low MOQs specifically because we know brands need to test packaging before scaling.
How do I specify the right box size for my bra?
Share your bra's folded dimensions β width, depth, and height β and specify cup size range (AβDD or plus sizes). Our structural engineering team will create a custom die line. If you are unsure, send us a product sample and we will measure it for you at no charge.
What is the production turnaround time?
Standard production is 10β14 business days after artwork approval. Rush orders in 5β7 business days are available at an additional charge. Shipping transit time (1β5 days) is separate from production.
Can I get a physical sample before placing a bulk order?
Yes. We provide free sample kits β you pay only the shipping cost. Every order also includes a free digital proof before production begins. No bulk order will go to print without your written approval.
Do you offer eco-friendly bra packaging options?
Yes. All of our kraft and SBS paperboard options use FSC-certified materials. We also offer 100% post-consumer recycled kraft, biodegradable soy-based inks, and plastic-free packaging lines. Sustainability certificates are available on request.
